Colour The Atlas- Snow

Colour The Atlas are an English four piece band that combine indie folk with electronic music that blend perfectly to make glitchy electronic gloss over their songs. Check out their 3 song E.P on Itunes if you like what you hear.

Young Wonder- To You

There are some songs that people just need in their life, this is it. Not only is it just a serious instrumental, the lyrics are also exquisitely beautiful.

Panama- It’s Not Over

Sometimes a genre doesn’t quite get allocated to a song as it sweeps in and out of different genres. This song doesn’t have a slot that it fits into, but instead glides through indie-pop and electronic house with a dash of 80’s, with strong drum beats driving it to the end. Panama remind me of a casual Friendly Fires, it brings that calm summer feel back.

Danglo- Adapt- EP

The era of Post-Dubstep is truly in full swing. a producer from West London named Jackson Holmes a.k.a Danglo could be the next big thing. Adapt is electronic music at its best and purest form. Listen to ‘Did I Love’ from the Ep above.

Brenton Duvall

Give your ears a rest with Brenton’s relaxing smooth and laid back style of music. From the producer for the likes of OnCue and many more.

AlunaGeorge- Your Drums, Your Love

The brilliant British duo bring us another song; ‘Your Drums, Your Love’, as they slowly emerge as a massive talent with their album set to be released in 2013. This song is just the tip of the iceberg for the pair. Prepare to here Aluna Francis’ voice floating over the airwaves in 2013.

Holy Other creates the interesting blend of R&B production with synths and electronic feel. Signed to ‘Tri Angle’ records, his name has not yet been revealed. But sure to be making a ‘name’ for himself with his soon to be released 1st LP on the 28th August. His music creates an ambient mood that takes you to a far away place. Enjoy his 6 minute long title track ‘Held’ off his debut LP.

Boys Noize - XTC

Octobers coming up and Boys Noize is putting the final touches to his upcoming LP. The German DJ/ producer has released a new track, XTC, in order to make the wait a little more bearable for his ever growing fan-base. It features a catchy chant, explosive dance flavour and great drop. Listen to it above preferably with heavy base and be sure to check in with us for more info about the 2nd October drop.

New to the Watch the Hype team, Callum Ewing has an exceptional taste in music, always hunting for cutting edge tracks in the music world. Enjoy his first post as a new recruit in the growing empire that is Watch the Hype!

Purity Ring’s New Album, Shrines

The electronic pair from Montreal, Purity Ring, have recently released their first album ‘Shrines’. True to the name, the record is a pure work of electronic excellence. Every song contains haunting ethereal vocals of a mystical and spacey nature, that just adds to the crispness and futuristic sound that the record so effortlessly has. All the tracks on the album have a heartbeat of pulsing synths and mysterious chopped beats. It is a plush sound that drips sophistication and other worldly sounds.

Shrines proves that airy ghostly vocals and electronic synths is not outdated, but rather with a new, revamped and modern twist, they can be turned into a cross genre work of joy. Leading tracks include: Ungirthed, Obedear, Fineshrine and Lofticries.

Verdict- **** half. ‘A haunting ethereal electronic debut that oozes mystery and coolness at every synth and beat, matched with delicate yet powerfully beautiful vocals. Perfect summer album if you’re looking for something different’
